I couldn't wait to use the
canner and although it is a little early in the season for most of our favorite veges, we decide to put up some apples. Granny Smith apples to be exact. I spent most of yesterday peeling, cutting and canning apples.

Rub a dub dub, green apples in the tub.

Ladies and Gentlemen...start your peeling. Of course there were no gentlemen to help me peel...they were at Boy Scouts.

Jars ready...all I need now is my trusty assistant.

Here's
Jonny (I never get tired of saying that). He counts out the rings and lids for me.

Apples ready for the
canner. Soon these babies will find themselves in pie, in cobblers, on ice cream or warmed and served with cinnamon, sugar and whip cream!!!
