Scouts

Today was full of trials. It started out great. The kids and I were in the Zone. We cleaned out the garage, gathered all the trash for a trip to the landfill, stripped beds, laundry, remade beds, cleaned the upstairs and then sat down to lunch.

Then Mark called. It all fell apart. It seems there was an error with State Farm and back in February they suspended his license. We had no idea. During a routine Homeland Security check today at the Port of Tampa it was discovered. Needless to say that started the ball rolling. It is still not completely resolved. Between his trips to the DMV offices, the "check engine" light comes on. Long story short, he is back on the road, but has to go to court to fight the 3 points.

We have all been a little stressed. Then tonight, Joseph made it all better. He sat for his first Board of Review. He was so nervous and worked on his knots the whole way to scouts. Before going in he gave me the big thumbs up. Awhile later, he walked out with some pep in his step. His first rank advancement. He is now a Tenderfoot, with a eagle required merit badge to boot.
It made everyone's day better!
