Those of you who know my husband, Mark, know that he will try to fix just about anything. He's also well known for his, shall I say, cheapness. Being a truck driver and trying to save money wherever he can, he devised a portable air conditioning system for the nights he's on the road and has to sleep along the way. To idle an engine is expensive and hard on the engine, so this was Mark's way of saving money. He had a compact generator mounted to the side of his cab, down by the cat-walk and runs a small window unit that he fits into the passenger window. The boys tell me that it gets so cold in the truck that you need sleeping bags. A little background as to the earlier mention post about Mark's fire. Mark brought the generator home this weekend to weld an extension on the exhaust; he was worried about the CO2 flowing too close to the cab. In the process of welding he learned that the generator had a fuel leak. Here's the picture. Mark and Joseph are welding, the generator is sitting on the ground next to the dually. Jonny is playing somewhere in the yard, and I am at Lowe's. The generator ignites with flames as tall as the garage. Mark grabs the generator with a TOWEL and pulls it away from the truck which of course is full of diesel fuel. They get it to the grass and start spraying it with the hose. By the time I pull into the drive, only the grass in on fire. Here's the pictures and once again, Thank You Lord for keeping this family safe!

It's never a dull moment around the house!

Oh my word !!!! I can't believe that the house didn't catch fire, that Mark didn't burn his hands off, that the truck didn't explode.
God had mercy on your family.
Glad everyone is safe.
