We finally did it! We made the appointment with our friend Malcom to sell the house. He is coming Friday night to sign all the paperwork and put this house on the market. It's another step in this move North. Jacob is starting to show more signs of a struggle with leaving Ocala. We've had a couple of nights of crying and him expressing the "unfairness" of it all. I know he will be happier once we are settled. It's a lot of change especially this time of year. We even offered to sneak away for a day or two to see some snow, but he would have none of it. "This is the last Christmas we are having in the house". I need to remember to be more sensitive- he is definitely my more traditional child. We put up a tree just for the boys (I could have skipped it). Do you know how hard it is to unpack something when you are packing up the rest of the house? I had to draw the line at ornaments. So, it's a tree with five ornaments and of course Joe's nutcrackers are on the mantle. Why five ornaments? Each year we buy the boys one ornament of their choosing, something that represents the year. Then we they have their own tree, they can have the ornaments. The two extras? Ornaments I found while packing- one in Jacob's closet and one in a bathroom drawer! Crazy!
