This is a family that loves baseball.
While we were in Florida, we were spoiled by Tropicana Field.
It was air-conditioned.
It was close.
The seats were cheap.
Back then, no one had heard of the Rays.
Now that we are in Georgia,
Jacob is unable to see his beloved Yankees play.
Nevertheless...
He is a true fan and the family heads up to Hot-lanta
to catch a few games each year.
Saturday was one of those days.
The guys went.
I opted to stay home and have some me time.
I was the loser!
First-
each boy ended up with an autographed ball.
Then- this happened.
Rockies NO HITTER!
Jacob was texting me like crazy.
"Watch ESPN NOW"
As he explained to me later:
"It was history in the making"
(and I missed it)
but don't feel sad for me-
it's a memory the guys will share forever!
