Happy Birthday Jacob (Belated)

Jacob turned 14 yesterday.

14 years ago...

We were given this HUGE blessing

named Jacob.

 To celebrate...

on Friday we took him to dinner- Steak- thank you very much

A little New York strip for my Yankee fan

Then we surprised him with a little trip to Wal-Mart...

But first-

little brother, Jonny, needed his shoe tied.

Big brother was right there.

That's just how Jacob is....helpful.

Then these guys....

These guys are what makes my world spin.

They headed into the Wal-Mart and picked out a new airsoft gun.

A new gun that requires CO2 to shoot.

What's a mother to do?

Saturday was a complete rainout- so we stayed home and got on each others nerves.

I know that never happens in your house.

It happens here- especially when we are stuck inside.

Sunday-

Church, band practice, another band practice and a youth activity.

Football was being played at this activity.

Nothing fancy, just backyard football.

Monday-

Yep- that's a wheelchair.

Yep- that's the ER.

Yep- we hurt ourselves playing football.

Nothing broken.

Nothing dislocated.

No weight bearing.

No more football.

A word of caution-

A 14 year-old, pushing 5'11",  on crutches can be a HANDFUL!!!!
