Wednesday Night Live

Each Wednesday night Jacob plays
in the youth praise band.
This is a new experience for him
and it has grown him.

The experience of playing in front of your peers.
The kids you hang with.

The band consists of:
Elliot- the leader and lone adult, guitar/bass, vocals
Hillary- senior, vocals
Trent- seveth grade, bass guitar
Jacob- eighth grade, electric/acoustic guitar
Garrett- college, drums

Sometimes other musicians will join them
Chris- college, electric guitar
Craig- keyboards, vocals (a true adult)

It's a good group that have come together to provide
excellent music for the 70 or so kids that come each week.

Here's the fun part.....

Last week we had some special guests.

The pressure was on....
Really turned up high....

Truth be told
I think Jacob was a little nervous.

He kept his cool

Here we are warming-up
Going over the order of music

The whole night was to be about the music
The music of the Season

CHRISTMAS!

It's hard to tell in this picture

Does the stage look a little full?

It was!
40 voices strong
as the adult choir
came down to the basement
to sing carols
with 60 of my favorite teenagers.

Talk about pressure.
No mistakes when you have this many people
counting on you to have the right
tempo, notes, music.

It was a great success!

Nothing tastes better with success than cake!
Happy Birthday Jesus!
