Tuesday night was the Scout Troop's
Court of Honor and
Christmas Party.
It's a time when we celebrate all the accomplishments
the boys have earned over the year.
The merit badges.
The rank advancements.
The boys who are almost at Eagle.
It's a great time.
Tonight
as the Scoutmaster was talking about the history of scouting
He described a new award that was to be presented.
It is an award for the Unknown Scout.
The scout who is behind the scenes getting the job done.
Without all the fuss and muss.
Happy to be helpful.
The scout who makes sure that the rest of his patrol is ready.
He is prepared.
And the award goes to........
Joseph
Mark said he knew it would be Joseph as soon as the descriptions were being read.
This is our Joseph, to a tee.
His work ethic is being rewarded.
He came home with the biggest smile on his face.
He was shocked, didn't think it would be him.
Once again we are so thankful for Joseph.
He is truly an amazing, unusual individual!
