Starting about late summer, the talk begins. Who has the best flight? Who has the cheapest flight? Who is going to wreck this year? Who is renting the fastest machine? And so on.
Bill has a chalet that he rents during the year, but this week it's used solely by these guys.
Oh, and we keep an eye on the weather. You have to have a lot of snow. Not just a foot of two. A lot of snow.
Since there are so many pictures, I thought it would be easier to break this up into two sessions.
Here's the first glimpse of the chalet on the way in. Of the four guys, Gary is the only one who lives in the North, calling Massachusetts home. Two are from FL and we now call GA home. Here's another great thing about this group...two paramedics, one electrician and one truck driver. If anything happens they can save it's life, wire it for power and haul it home!
First one must remove the ice and snow from the driveway if one wants to be able to leave again. And, one must leave again to buy groceries and rent snowmobiles.
One must also remove the heavy snow pile-up from the roof. If this is not done, damages can occur. Just ask Bill about the chimney. Bill cleverly uses the roof of Gary's truck to reach the roof.
Here we see Bill shoveling the snow onto the roof of Gary's truck. There is a problem with this. #1 Gary's truck is their only mode of transportation until the snowmobiles are rented and #2 is......
#2...Gary will retaliate.
Day #2 finds the guys headed to the rental shop to find this unusual figure on the roof. What is that is his hands? What is this man doing on the roof?
Using the snow blower of course. Why rake or shovel when you can snow blow...really.
Machines rented, insurance paid the guys hit the trail. Here is a quick view atop a hill looking at Mt. Washington.

Looks like the trip is fun and I am so glad that Mark has this chance to go and have fun with his buddies.
