Rock On

The boys started taking music lessons again this February. They had taken some back in Ocala, but truthfully had not played since October 2007. Our church has a fabulous teacher, Bill, that they simply adore. He has brought them so far in the last couple of months. So much so, that Jacob has joined the youth group praise band.

Last Tuesday, the students put on a little end-of-year concert.

Jacob on the far left in the striped shirt. He switched between his electric and acoustic guitars.
Of course, Sweet Home Alabama was a hit!

Bill is in the center with the black shirt and guitar.

ROCK ON!!!!

Joseph is up front playing the cowbell. The unfortunate part of being a drummer is only one drummer can play at a time. When I heard Joseph was playing the cowbell during his off sets, I quickly went to YouTube and showed him the old Saturday Night Live skit with Will Ferrell and Christopher Walkin. "I need more cowbell. I have the fever for some cowbell." He thought it was hilarious!
During the dress rehearsal, one of the sound guys (who also plays the bass) can up to Joseph and said, "a good cowbell can make a song, and a bad cowbell can ruin a song." How does my sweet little Joseph reply....."are you saying...(here it comes)....We need more cowbell!"
I love that kid!!!!
I have a 22 min video of the boys that will be available, as soon as I figure out how to download from the camera!!!!
